Dim Sum Dollies
Over the weekend, Nelly invited me to watch “WXY piano performance”. The event was organised by three students from NAFA. The event was made possible from a friendship that has blossomed over three years of studies. Special guest performer was Nelly’s cousin, Midorie. I am very impressed by their performance and showcase talent. It has been so long that I didn’t watch any piano performance. The last one was about 8 years back while I was still in Indonesia. This was really a good experience.
After that, I caught “Dim Sum Dollies” show with my boyfriend, John and Lu. The show was really humorous and amazing. They covered lots of issues in Singapore. Most importantly, they managed to remain politically correct while making fun of all the higher ups in Singaporean politics.
And for Singapore production, generally it was not that bad. I felt really sorry for this Caucasians couple in front of us because I doubt they understood half the jokes. You need to be Singaporean to fully appreciate the show. John laughed embarrassingly loudly. Everyone had so much fun. I strongly advised everyone should really go catch it if you’ve got the time.
